try to make life easy. i went and bought a closet organiser for my room. i also have my own hamper for my clothes and i spend 5 minutes a day cleaning up my room like making the bed and picking up empty water bottles etc. to keep my desk clutter free i bought some of those multi drawer storage units to put beside the desk to hold paper and stuff. i labeled my drawers so that it is easier to find stuff when i am looking for it. also the top makes a great place to put your make up mirror to get ready in the morning. when you arent using the drawers you can (space permitting) hide them in your closet.

First thing, start in your closet, take everything out that does not fit, or you have not worn in 1 year. This is now thing to be given away! Put your shirts in one section, pants in another, etc. Then move to your drawers and desk, and do the same thing. Toss whatever is not needed. You can go anywhere and get bins or boxes to keep your desk organized.

go through the whole room if you haven't touched in 6 months or more give it away or toss it same goes for clothes

for keep sakes by a tote that way nothing is displaced and you know where to stick something else when you want to put it away we all grow out of somethings that we just have to keep

next put everything on your desk in to catagories even if you have to buy folders

dust tidy a few things and cotagorize and you'll be done in no time just remember when you get it out put it back no more long time spent cleaning

Make 3 boxes for your cleaning project :
1. keep 2. throw out 3. donate.
Be REALISTIC about what you are keeping. Ex.: If you have magazines you love to keep for future viewing, allow only a few to keep and make sure you're throwing out as you get new ones. Get yourself bins to organize into categories, labeling is very helpful. Make sure you always put things back where they belong. When it comes to your clothes in your closet- rule of thumb should be, if you haven't worn it in 2 years, give it away to someone more needy of it than you.
