Do you know any group/program/anything that use drama/acting/performing with/for a purpose?

Today in Drama, we watched Shakespeare Behind Bars. Its a prison where they have a shakespeare program. And it changes them. Helps them stay out of trouble. They get really into it.

So do you kno anything like this. Like a bussiness or something? Besides prison and church?

Yes, Breeana. Theatre is not just for entertainment. It is used to teach, as a therapy method, as political commentary, as a tool for social change, as a business training technique. It is used to provoke thought, to bully, to cheerlead, to anger, to maintain the status quo. Performers and producers have been exploring all the cool stuff that society can do with theatre for thousands of years!

You are asking a good question, but also one that is very, very broad. It might help if you could give us some more details about what you're interested in.

Failing that, here are some keyword searches you might try on the internet. Since your question is broad, my responses are also broad. Again, if you can be more specific, we can point you in more specific directions.

Try:
-Augusto Boal theatre of the oppressed
-Hope is Vital theatre company
-Waiting for Lefty Clifford Odets
-dramatherapy
-Hobart Shakespeareans
-Second City communications
-Bertolt Brecht alienation
-Theatre Action Project
-Kids on the Block puppets

The local library may do something like that.
Why don't you check there?

Or what about a YMC or YWCA?
