if we support the war, we need to enlist, right?

but if you don't support the war, why do you get to sit on your ***? At least come to Iraq and join up with Al-qaeda so you can stay intellectually honest.

ok, lets think about something here, and i really hope you'll actually take the time to think about this and give it an honest shake:

lets say my son is caught shoplifting- he needs to be punished for this of course. so, we get home and i talk to my wife and she wants to hit him as punishment.... i, on the other hand, dont feel thats the way to deal with it..... well, just because i'm not FOR the most severe punishment, that doesnt mean that i SUPPORT my son's shoplifting, it just means that i feel theres a better way to handle it.

now, whether you agree with the war or not, as americans we all have the right to believe what we want, and just because we dont feel war is a good idea doesnt mean we dont support the troops, and we certainly dont support the enemy. if you see someone walking around with a sign that says "great job bin laden!", let me know, i'll be the first guy there to knock his teeth out.

but as someone who's intellectually honest, can you deny the fact that even the president has said the war has had huge mistakes? colin powell admitted to the U.N. that "we intentionally misled you to believe there were WMD's". cheney was ceo of haliburton, and when he left the company to run for VP, they gave him $31 million. haliburton has the biggest war contract there is right now, and theres a lot of money thats missing from their budget that was supposed to help our soldiers stay safe, and do their jobs, and yet the white house wants to send more soldiers and ignores the missing money. meanwhile, most of the world is against the war, and our allies are pulling out, which cheney says is a good sign that things are almost done, but then says we need to send more people because theres a lot more work to be done, and bush says he'll veto a bill that congress wants to create to bring our boys home in a year and a half......

i dont understand how you can talk about any kind of honesty if the men in charge arent being honest with any of us. the president is supposed to serve the will of the people, and yet 70% of the country is against the war, and feel that bush is a failure, so how is he serving the will of the people exactly? did you follow the scooter libby case? turns out cheney is doing all kinds of things on his own agenda and not telling anyone. now, his head guy is going to jail for what he's done. where's honesty there?

and if you enlist, which if you really support this war is what you should do, i hope that you're safe and that you come home in mental health as well as physical, but i hope you can appreciate that there are those who feel as strongly about what they do as you might about picking up a gun. i can only imagine you'd feel so strongly about the war if you truely loved what america stands for, and thats the freedom we all have to think and say what we want. how can you support that freedom and then tell everyone that they should think just like you?

ADDED -

Sept 13th, 2004, Colin Powell went before the Senate Governmental Affairs Comittee, and admitted that the information he presented to the UN in Feb of '03 was wrong, and that it was highly unlikely that WMD's were going to be found. he admitted that the information he had been given had been disputed and discredited by most government officials without him knowing, and was given to him by Dick Cheney anyhow so that he could use it in his presentation. he even said in an interview that when he asked Cheney what this would do to his credibility, Cheney responded "they like you, you can afford to lose a few points". Powell has stated that this type of manipulation was one of the reasons he resigned, and that he regrets it will always be part of his record, and considers it a painful mistake.

so, when the Vice President has someone make a speech using info that his own people have told him is WRONG, thats "intentional misleading", any way you slice it.

But what if Al Qaeda/Bin Laden are in Pakistan training for their next attack with US troops only 100 miles from them?

Clinton has his Bosnia-Herzegovina. The only place we lost an F-117. That war did not threaten U.S. interest. it threatened lives that hated America. The vast majority of the military are conservatives, so those that say we don't fight don't know anything.

Why don't you enlist instead of sitting on your *** asking stupid questions? At least come to Iraq? Are you in Iraq? I didn't know they had online service in the firing line.

But they're so non-commital. All they know is to be contrarian to what is put forth by conservatives. If conservatives put forth a good idea, they'll bash it. If they put forth a bad idea, they are all over it and bash it. All they know to do is boycott, petition and rally. If they put their money where their mouth is they would join Al-qaeda but maybe they're just funneling money to them instead.

is that all you can do is say "you're terrorists"... CONSERVATIVES ARE THE ONES THAT SAID OSAMA'S NOT A THREAT ANYMORE... and we should join al-queda?

how about liberals fight al-queda, and conservatives continue their imperialistic takeover of Iraq with no regard or care about any terrorists that actually hit us or may hit us?

we'll catch Osama while you guys are standing in Iraq with your **** in your hand...
