Swallowing or not is irrelevant.
Using a condom is ridiculous, who wants to suck a rubber?
The only rational harm-reduction approaches are to know who you are sucking, and know their health status, and to make sure your mouth is in good shape.

Yes definitely!! You don't even have to swallow to get STD's!! If you have a cut on or inside your mouth you can even get HIV! And all other STD's you can get by just being intimate without having sex! be careful!!!

Oral sex can expose you to STD's. Some are less likely to be spread that way but overall there are still chances.
BTW(you don't have to swallow to be exposed)

the short answer is yes....but not nearly so easily than through anal or vaginal sex...make sure you don't have any sores in your mouth and I wouldn't swallow....you really should use a condom...
