When it rains or I wash my car, the vehicle begins to make a loud noise and locks itself. I cannot use my remote o open the doors and it's starting to get on my nerves. Can anyone tell me what could be wrong?

The door make this noise and it sounds like it comes from the back panel of the driver side door. Is there any electrical wiring behind the panel?

The door making the loud noise (kind of a squeal, scream) is because the regulator is faulty. I can't say for sure if that's why it locks on its own but it could be getting shorted during the rain. If you have it replaced I would inspect for water damage and corrosion then have a sealant used to stop further leaks.

Sounds like your the vehicles electrical components are being exposed to water. Either the door sensors/buttons are shorting out....or water getting to the electrical system that pertain to your vehicle locks. Where is the noise coming from? If the noise is in the engine compartment or vehicle cab is could be a relay (most likely the door/lock switches relay) or the wiring to your transmission because the doors only lock by themselves once you put the vehicle in gear. Good luck.

hmmm...never heard of this one before. Maybe the water is somehow getting into the door. Maybe your seals need replacing.
