ok i know im an idiot so save the jokes please explain msn to me i just got it and i have 2 contacts so explain the basics and when there is a song name next to your contacts name is that thye song they are listening to or streaming and if i listen to a song while on msn will it show oh and when you chat to someone can other people see what you right

MSN Messenger is just like any other messenger, like AIM or Yahoo!. Adding contacts in MSN Messenger requires an e-mail to be added, not the screen name. There is a setting in MSN Messenger that when it is set, it sees what you are playing in Windows Media Player and then shows that title next to your screen name. You can, of course, turn this option off if you please. No one, in any way, can see what you write in a conversation between two people unless you invite another party in the conversation. Note: never transfer any sensitive information across MSN or any other I.M. application as the connection is not encrypted and can be read. Use with caution.
