Vincent Price
He is gone now. He was a famous horror film actor in the 60's , 70's and 80's. One little known fact about him was the fact that he was a Chef.He starred in such films as "The Raven","Fall of the House of Usher" and "Doctor Phibes".
He also did the laugh and the "rap" on Michal Jackion's "Thirller".

Any famous actor? Or a French famous actor?
If a french one, how about Gerard Depardieu; he was in a lot of funny American movies, too (e.g. Green Card). If any actor, how about Arnold Schwarzenegger? He is Austrian, made it big as an actor, and now is a Senator?

Michael Vartan would be great for french class, he was born in France. And, i think his father and aunt were both well known musicians there.

Or, Jean Reno, another great french actor. You can find all kinds of stuff about them on IMDB.

Personally, i'd go with michael he's more fun to look at. He also played a french chef on Kitchen Confidential, (his co-star from Alias' show). You can watch clips of it on YouTube.

Good luck!

Jean Reno is one of my favorite actors. (The Professional, although he plays an italian in the movie.) He could probably be called the Tom Hanks of France. Audrey Tautou is also good, (Amelie). If you're allowed to write about a director, Jean-Pierre Jeunet is one of France's finest. Good luck!

In keeping with the French theme - Gerard Depardieu or Catherine Deneuve (she has also been the face of Chanel...)
