i have marks and not sure what to use on it to clean it. this is new to me.

They make Special LCD cleaner... I would steer clear of Windex, over time it can damage your monitor.

Ill tell you how to clean a laptop plasma display if you tell me where you got a laptop with a plasma display!!
to clean a laptop LCD display.. i use alcohol wipes (about 20c each)

One of the best is IKlear Apple Polish. They sell it in several different ways. I like the single use packets that contain one towel with the polish and one with the dry cloth. It will clean a screen (and computer case, eye glasses, iPods, etc) and when you polish it with the dry cloth, it helps with dust and static.

They have special products for this in places like Best Buy or Circuit City, dont use just anything, like windex, you will take the "film" off of the screen.
