You tell her to move on!!! Cheating is cheating and is always a big deal because it always hurts someone. If they both felt the need to cheat, no matter how big or little a deal, it couldn't have been much of a relationship.

Get her to think in terms of why SHE felt the need to cheat and why that's not as important as the guy cheating on her. I think she cheated because the guy wasn't very important to her and the main reason she's upset is because her ego's bruised...perfectly normal reaction when you're the last to know.

Being in a relationship with someone is not a game. If someone feels the need to cheat then they are not with the right person. It may seem idealistic, but if anyone feels they have to cheat they should end the relationship with the person they'd cheat on first. Ending a relationship with someone is never easy, so why add the indignity of cheating to the pain of breaking up?

I know your friend is hurting and you should by all means console her, but good friends are there to give us a reality check when we screw up too. We may not always like what we hear, but when it comes from a good friend we should take it seriously. While I wouldn't dwell on it too much, I think you owe it to your friend to make her aware that her denial of the significance of her actions is not healthy in regard to future relationships. Just tell her...cheating is cheating...and she's a much better person than that.

Cheating is never not a big deal! It's very hurtful and even if she cheated on him i bet that she was really hurt when she found out about his cheating.
They need to part ways and see other people. If they did it once to each other they most likely will do it again.

I suppose it's fair -- she cheated and he cheated. Score is tied.
However, the moment cheating starts to happen in a relationship, it's OVER. You can pretend to get back together and work things out, but the trust is gone.

Be kind and supportive.
Tell her all her good points and point out that she can do better than him and that one day she will meet someone that respects and loves her and makes her very happy.
Remind her that there are many suitable people out there for each of us, its a very big world!
If she is hurting bad tell her its like ice cream ... you loved that one yes sure, but when you try again you will prefer another taste.

Good luck!

It's not fair that she was cheated on. It's hard to tell someone that they are being cheated on when they are a good friend.

Cheating is not a fair thing, they might like each other but when it comes down to it , they would be better off finding someone who they love and who loves them.

Obviously, this isn't a really serious relationship...
So don't say nothing. I think it's fair that she gets cheated on if she cheated.

You tell her your sorry, she can find someone better, and tell her you will be there for her. If you are a good friend do not discuss her cheating, she knows what she did.
