I have met boys and girls with that name. Also, although it's Irish, I have read that people in Ireland don't name their kids Shannon b/c it's the name of a place, and they don't tend to name their kids after places. Same goes for the name "Brandon", which is a hill in Ireland. Go figure. Nice names though. I love them both.
