ok a friend of mine smokes weed and ya know she would get high........( and God yes we both Know its wrong b4 i get ppl out therre tryin to be my mom and dad) but recently she had unpretected sex and its too soon for a serum or urine test but she has noticed that she doesn't get high at all nemore plus she had had a few weak preggies symtoms like 2 weeks after sge would have conceived. could the reason shes not gettin high nemore is because shes preggie and the baby is suckin everything outta her.... i.e. nutrients, oxygen........help me out herre im only a pre-med student and never came across this atleast not yet............

Ha, you're a pre-med student and you can't spell?? Anyways, not being able to get high is not a sign of pregnancy. And the baby wouldn't be "sucking" everything out of her yet. The only way she will know is if she takes a test.

1. A person can become so use to a drug that it's "high"effect can wear off quickly, or not effect them at all. The plant may not be containing a high dosage of the chemical to cause the high.
2. She'll have to just wait for a missed period to know for sure she is pregnant with a possible chance since she had unprotected sex, and is displaying pregnancy symptoms.
3. Yes, that baby is taking alot so it can grow, but no only oxygen, and nutrients, but the drugs too. Drugs increases the risk of having a metal hadicapped child (aka retarded), drug dependent baby with delayed develepoment, and many health problems, OR even fetal loss.

Your friend is being really paranoid. You probably just got some ditch weed or something. It's too soon for her to know if she's pregnant and since this would be her first pregnancy she probably wouldn't be aware of the actual pregnancy symptoms. It's not like the embryo is stealing her high. It wouldn't make a difference whether she was pregnant or not. Tell her to chill out and get some good **** and to enjoy her last high before she takes that pregnancy test in a couple of weeks... then smack her on the side of the head and tell her to use a condom from now on.

Much of the research concerning cannibis use during pregnancy is not conclusive. Many studies concluding that it is harmful were done on women who also smoked tobacco and drank alcohol, which we know is harmful.Its considered politically risky to conduct long-term large-sample studies of women who smoked marijuana, but used no other drugs What I can say is that here in Humboldt county, California many people smoke it openly, often ,and frequently, including many pregnant women. Some doctors and midwives even give recomendations for medical conditions such as severe morning sickness, depression, stress, etc. My doctor told me that she's seen so many women smoke during pregnancy, and being a family physician, has seen the kids as they grow up and has never seen a problem that can be directly traced to prenatal cannabis use. Most of the kids she sees are bright and healthy. Yes, smoking lowers blood oxygen levels (inhaling any kind of smoke), so if a woman needs it for medicinal purposes, eating it would be preferable. I do not condone drug abuse and think strong medicinal herbs should be used cautiously.

You're pre-med and you're smoking weed? That's very doctorly of you..are you gonna tell your future patients to get high too? ANYWAYS, tell your friend to lay off the drugs and to take a pregnancy test...because if like you said, it's been 2 weeks since she conceived then she could get an accurate result from a test.

Do you mean she still smokes the weed but it doesn't affect her? As far as I know, that's not a pregnancy symptom. If she thinks she's pregnant, she should stop until she knows. Also, for a pre-med student, you don't type and spell very well!! Are you sure that you're not smoking the weed with her? Don't waste your time around losers!

ok she may be preg but cant get high because the baby's sucking it outta her? First thing stop smoknig, find out if she is preg. then ask the dr.
