You're wrong -- many spend a lot of money, donate time, or have jobs to make the world better.
When I had money, I donated pretty generously, and my two real jobs were all about improving education (which I firmly believe is the best way to make this a better world, more just, more humane, more livable).
People who see wrongs have an obligation to say so -- that's how wrongs get righted.
You would have everyone (except conservatives, apparently) pretend everything is right and good?
There's this annoying little document you might want to read -- it's called The Constitution of the United States of America.
But, as I say, your original supposition is simply false -- liberals and democrats give.
A lot.

I don't have a problem with anyone of any ideology making money, but today the only people making money are the ones selling out their country to make a buck. Most honest people that prosper offer a good or service that benefits the marketplace to earn a profit.
The one making money today are cronies, who have no real skills unless you count fundraiser. These folks are fishing for the government spending hook up and typically from the ones in power. But those conservatives, who are doing so, are betraying a fundamental value of less government that the GOP represents.
As for the complaining element of your question, I heard nothing but complaining from the conservatives about Clinton Administration...and they weren't offering no solutions hoping he would hang himself. Politics is a funny world but no one is innocent.

That isn't always a true statement, many liberals give countless unseen hours to a variety of causes, and give according to their income, because one can't just write a blanket check doesn't make it less important. Liberals like conservatives like to have the nicer things in life, that statement is just so off. Time is just a valuable as money..
You read the answers within this forum (not just this question), and I can't see how you say conservative don't complain as much, it is equal complaining, just differing points of view and vision.

That is the foundation of liberalism. Complain and impose guilt on others. Tax and limit everyone other than oneself (ala Al Gore, and others). Bask in the glory of all the so called good you promise to deliver on the backs of others.
And for the liberal elite, go schmooze with celebrities in Hollywood on your private jet but take care of your global warming footprint by paying some bucks to an offset company (and, if you are really smooth, you actually own the company!) ...

Conservatives don't complain LOL?!?! Were you in a coma or diapers during the Clinton years. And I suppose you had your TV and radio turned off after the mid term elections in '06. Get real if you want to pose a legit question do so. If you want to complain (see, you all are still doing it ) than there are other forums for that. You have no real question only veiled whining.

They give a little bit of money but are under the perception that conservatives have all the money. So they want to take their money first and give that, then maybe, just maybe they'll give a little more. To them it's just not fair.

I've seen few conservatives do anything...
and CONSTANTLY cry about the poor... and how the poor are lazy and don't deserve help... and they say if you help them, it only makes them weak
yeah... they really sound like they are giving back and making the world a better place...
the only thing conservatives do... is rationalize not doing anything and give back nothing... and only take themselves...

I complain and if I had a way to change things I would. You guys didn't not complain when Bill was in office. The exact same thing.

When you exclude faith-based intiatives, that are biased in whom they give money to and put stipulations on it, liberals give 23% more money to charities and global humanitarian funds.
