Okay, I am at a cross roads and am gathering information to make an informative decision on my education. How many of you out there are UOP graduates and have obtained gainful employment with your degree and did you find the degree was looked well upon by people who interviewed you. Honest comments please and any information is appreciated.

Selling Arbonne is fine but I don't know about it being a health and wellness business. UofP is overpriced and still carries negative connotations. Basically, you are paying more for a college degree that will get you less. Do your research, there are plenty of traditional universities offering online and night classes. I think I would recomend an associates over UofP.

I am not UofP grad, but I interview people all the time from there. The school still has a mixed reputation, but I say if you are willing to put in the time, who cares where you get it. Some managers do care though, so be aware of that. Those managers are in the minority.

The best manager I ever worked with got his MBA there. UofP works with mostly professionals, so you will most likely have a group of people in your class that have the same goals in mind. So that is a very positive thing about going there.

I would recommend that you check local universities and colleges that have the same type of programs in your area. I live in Oregon and both Linnfield and Warner Pacific, which are known to be great schools offer similar programs to UofP for about 60% the cost. Then decide which avenue is best for you.

Hi Kristina. I graduated from UoP last February with a BA in Business. At the time, my BA was a great benefit at my place of employment. I received a promotion and a 13% increase. However, at that time, I too was at a crossroads in my life and later decided to start my own health and wellness business. The corporate world was not for me. I felt like I needed more, something a bit more fulfilling, and yearned to have the time and financial freedom to be home with my family and do the things that we've always wanted. It's been extremely rewarding and a true blessing for my family and I. Many places of business commend, honor, and reward you for progress and degrees. If you have the option, I would recommend continuing your education.....or, starting your own health and wellness business. :-)

I refuse to hire anyone from UoP. I see it on the resume and I file it in the trash.

They have a reputation of a degree mill - ie they sell degrees. Have you ever seen met or even heard of someone who failed out? How about someone who even got a 'C'?

Not only that, not one of their graduate programs are nationally accredited. AACSB? Not even close. I have yet to meet a UoP MBA who even has the rudiments of finance and accounting.

My opinion. Others may vary.
