Use photoshop, that is as simple as it gets.

One of the easiest ways is to just print it in grayscale (print options) on Word. You can also use photoshop programs and do even more complex things along with black and white printing.

You can do it in some cameras, and in the programs Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, in fact most good photo editing programs. To be more specific, I need to know what you are working with.

If your printer supports it, you can specify a black and white print. Once printed, it can be scanned and you will have a black and white image. Bear in mind that by printing orthocromatically you will probably lose definition.

next time be more specific, i know how to do it on word, and print it out gray and white is that what you mean?
