first multiply the negative sign into the partentheses
1. 3-x+4=2x-6+5x

then combine like terms (xs with xs and numbers with numbers) on each side of the equals sign.
2. 7-x=7x-6

thirdly, get all the xs on one side of the equation and the numbers on the other.
* to move the x you need to add x to both sides
3. 7-x=7x-6
+x +x
---------------
7=8x-6
*to move the numbers to the opposite side from the xs you need to add 6 to both sides

7=8x-6
+6 +6
------------
13=8x

to get x alone divide both sides by 8

x= 13/8
