you multiply the top two numbers, and then the bottom two. 1/4 * 1/2 = 1/8. 3/4 * 2/3 = 6/12, which = 1/2

yu find the common denomenator then multiply the numerators. it may be an improper fraction. convert it to a mixed number. the answer was 2/4

then multiply the bottoms... 4 x 2
