There sure is a lot for Mr. Bush to know. First, he knew about 9/11, then he knew about Global Warming, then he knew about the Freemasons, then he knew about Libby, and the leak. I guess George Bush is the most knowledgable man on earth! No, I don't believe George Bush knew about the leak.

ASK ME IF I CARE! In the grand scheme of things this means absolutely 100% NOTHING. My taxes aren't lower, my salary isn't higher, and gas is still $2.80 where I live. Like I need to worry about whether or not a former Cheney aid leaked the name of a CIA agent, lied about it, or whatever....

the Bush Administration attacks on rule of law, he does little more than lament the controversy and wonder what the outcome is. It's nauseating. The Bush/Cheney henchmen have been particularly bellicose in their bullying of government staffers from the CIA, DoD, and the Justice Department, gagged whistleblowers with false claims of "national security" to cover up, and gutting habius corpus, turning Guantanamo and other military bases into a gulags for torture and extra-judicial punishments. Then WaPo' Baker wonders if Libby can lie, maybe the Iraq War was based on lies??

While Clinton was impeachable for sexual inpropriety, a president who circumvented the Constitution he's sworn to protect is protected only by a shield called a "war time president" in a war that has no end. Doesn't the press see the implications for our way of life?

Are we content to have the Fourth Reich unfold in our midst out of concern about terrorism? Shame on us for our complacency, for our press corps intimidated to silence, for our lost democracy.

I'm going to say the answer is sort of both, because while he may not have known about it before it happened, if he had truly disapproved of the leak, he would've fired SOMEBODY, which didn't happen.

Now it is out that Armitage, Libby, Rove, and Ari Fleischer were all talking about this facet of their collective cover-up, so any "honest-mistake" theory is out the window, and Bush still won't comment. That sort of seals it in my mind.

President Bush didn't know about it because the VP didn't leak it, Richard Armitage did.

I am still trying to figure out what leak. Armatriage admited he told Novak long before anyone got involved. Libby was not indicted for leaking anything. He was found guilty of obstruction and perjury.

GOOD GRIEF....DO ANY OF YOU SUPERLIBS READ YOUR OWN MEDIA CRAP????

Armitage leaked it. I'm sure quite a bit after her own husband bragged about it. Bush doesn't get involved in the petty BS.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did know about it at some point. Probably not beforehand. Cheney seems to be the type to like to do things on his own...I think he was the chief leaker.
