Would you leave if after 16 years they had gained about 20 pounds? What if it was more? Would you still be into that person?

I would not leave, but my boyfriend of 16 years did. I have had 3 children, and gained about 20 pounds. He said he could not be into me anymore because of that.

No...what kind of question is that? If you leave them because of weight gain, it just shows that you 1) Never loved them in the first place or 2) are very shallow.

no! my husband needs to gain weight!!! hes 5'10 135lbs (very skinny) if he gained 20 lbs I'd love him still. I LOVE my husband no matter what. I've gained almost 30 lbs since we first met and I've asked him before if my weight bothered him he said he doesnt mind. 20 lbs over 16 years is good- the average person gains 2 lbs a year so thats like below average! Love is blind and doesnt have a weight limit!

i think that is the saddest question i have ever heard someone ask, i think if you marry someone and they gain a little weight or a lot you married them because you loved them and if you cant love someone if they gained a little weight then you are not a nice person, so yeah if my husband gained a little weight yeah of course i would still love that person and as you say be into that person because i am not a nasty person

he is not a nice person at all and i think you should move on and find someone who can live and love you whatever you look like

good luck

20 lbs on my man would be hot! More... sure. If he gained 200 I would still love him but I could not have sex with him.
My man is 6% body fat. 6 foot 4 inches. 210lbs. He looks perfect body wise...
Most women go up and down all the time. I feel weight is an important date question. If he is tripping out about 20 lbs. he has his own issues. His worth is not about how you look. He has the nerve. Keep your head up :)

No would not leave for the wieght gain. But would try and do more things together to help the person get back down to where they were happy. This is what a marriage is about. Right?

i'm sorry to take heed to that sweetie..yet you be responsive to what? you may recover from it simply by fact he confirmed you what an @$$ he extremely is and you're greater effective off looking somebody which will love you for you. You sound like a reliable, appealing lady..you do not could desire to place up with that crap. i might by no potential go away my better half purely simply by fact he gained weight, yet whilst i spotted he began getting heavy, i might initiate cooking him much less fatty meals, or inspire him to lose a sprint weight in a effective way. He thinks all women folk could appear like barbie....properly does he appear like Ken???

Seems like as a person gets older they gain weight. Wife and I have been together for 43 years and I ain't about to leave her now or ever.

No. Do you remember your vows? Help your spouse without nagging him/her. Start cooking healthier for both of you. Make it a joint effort. The other person is most likely aware of their condition. Ask to go talk to a doctor together, or a dietician. Dont blame each other for one being fatter. You both are to fault. 16 years is a long time to let yourself go! If you dont care enough about yourself, then nobody else will care for you if you're fat and lazy. Get fit or get out.

Of course not. I know that weight gain is part of getting older. I love the man I'm with and I'd love him even if he gained 100 lbs. Of course, if he did, I'd remind him how dangerous it is, and encourage him to lose the weight for health reasons, but he'd still be the wonderful man he is.

No,
True love is in the heart not just what they look like. But if it makes him unhappy why not try to lose a few pounds at least for the good of your own health.
