He looks to be playing good but I don't know exactly what Mangers look for in players is he in or out?

He will make the team, probably as a DH/ part-time outfielder.

He wont be on the roster on opening day, but at least the Rangers wont be as bad as the Padre's

Yes, he'll make it. The Rangers have no outfielders, so they can use Sosa. He has played well but not up to his old standards. He'll certainly make it.

He's hitting fastballs but not breaking balls or offspeed pitches. No matter what his stats are, he's not good enough right now. By the end of spring training he'll have to hit those other pitches or he'll be cut.
