Gasoline, diesel, ethanol, electricity, propane, hydrogen, solar energy, .... all these things are used to fuel cars ..... gasoline being the standard .... but other types of engines and fuels are being developed ...... and some gasoline engines can be modified to burn other things or blends of different fuels ..... such as gas and alcohol
