How do I know which memory card I have to get? Can you have any kind? What I mean is, my cousin says I can only get PC3200 type memory cards. Can I use PC2700 or PC100, PC5300 type memory cards?? Or do I HAVE to use PC3200? I see cheaper ones that aren't PC3200 so I'm just wondering. I have a Dell Dimension 8400 by the way.

Start at crucial. They have a system scanner that will tell you exactly what memory to get and your purchasing options.

You can get free shipping through http://www.24houredeals.com/Crucial-Technology-coupons-324-mer.html

Good luck.

Hi. PC 3200 is a DDR memory stick. The PC2100, PC2700 sticks will work, but ALL sticks will work at the slowest sticks speed, so if you have 3200, add 3200. According to this site http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,117517-page,1/article.html you PC uses DDR2-533 memory which is faster.
