I feel like I'm betraying my friends...they're all going into the Computer Science field while I think I might want to go into something medical.

Some of your friends will change during your lifetime, regardless of your career path. Follow your heart. If you are true to your friends they will understand, you are not betraying them.

no my friends from high school and i all went into very different fields. I am a Social worker, one is in marketing, one a nurse , one in to hotel restaurant management. You need to do what makes you feel good. My friends from high school and i are still friends but that is not the norm. Usually you grow apart in college and you make new friends any way. You need to do what you like and love so you don't waste your money

NO! My high school best friends and I took different courses but we did attend the same university. After college (1968), we went to different fields; to different countries even....and yes, after all these years, we're still best friends.

If the medical field is calling you, go for it...dance to your own music.

Good Luck!
