It doesn't matter if I am against premarital sex or not. What matters is what your standards/morals for yourself are. The advise to not have premarital sex is usually to protect people from getting diseases/ pregnant out of a wedlock situation. Also there is a lot of emotional connection that comes with sex (more for girls than guys). Personally I waited until I was 20 and if I could do it again I would wait until I was engaged. I personally think it is too important to know whether you have "chemistry" with a person. Ultimately it is up to you and what you are comfortable with.

I am not against premarital sex. I had premarital sex with my husband. I would like to know if I was sexually compatible with the person I was marrying.

Yes, I am against premarital sex. Even if you are engaged to the person. Why? Because if I have waited this long, why not wait until the "wedding night"? It will make that night a whole lot better. More romantic. More loving. More enjoyable. There is an old saying "why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for free". I wish you the best. Take care.

Sex is a natural phenomena and Marriage is a social rule. We all are supposed to follow social rules, however, when natural urges are very strong, those would creep in, forcing, slowly and gradually, the social rules to bend and change so as to avoid confrontation with natural phenomena. And when around 50% of the population is remaining single in US, very obviously, sex is taking place out of the institution of marriage, including pre-marriage also.

Yes I'm against it. And an engagement is merely an intention to get married...it's not the same as being married.

Premarital sex tends to cheapen marital sex. It's best to wait. And if you have sex during your engagement, and you break up...you won't have saved it for whoever you eventually marry.

in that case, another person's opinion shouldn't matter. for we have different values, beliefs & stand. people have sex for different reasons, be it in the right phase of their lives or not but who cares??and who are we to judge??they are who they are. acceptance is all we can do.
find yourself first, decide on what you belive in and live the life you think is right, not what other people may think.
Good luck on that!
