Why do people have abortions? Why don't they just NOT HAVE SEX?

Or just take birth control? I could never kill my baby. Abortion is murder.

And I'm not talking about rape victims!

And to the lady who said she got pregnant while on birth control and chose to have an abortion: You could have put the child up for adoption! There are plenty of childless couples and other people who would love to adopt a child. So there's no excuse. Unless there were a health-related reason for the abortion.

I too wonder why some women get pregnant if they have no intention of having a child. I personally wonder haven't they heard of an after pill. Do you consided that killing? Maybe they were too high, or too drunk to even realize what just happened - that they just had uprotected sex or that the condom broke.

Some rape victims decide to keep the baby, it's not the babies fault that bad things happen in life. I don't think being a rapist is something you can pass on through your genes.

Not having sex is a lot to ask of people and although some people use condoms/birth control its not always 100% effective. Some people aren't ready for a baby or can't provide one and they aren't willing to put a kid in an adoption system that don't always find homes for those kids. If the cells are not viable (aka can't survive outside the womb on its own) how is that a baby?

People have sex because they are horney and are taught by society and our so called 'Hollywood Idols' that pre-marital sex is OK and comes without consequences. If we are taught from birth that human life is meaningless, then we have no problem committing murder. Of course, how can life have meaning if we have all just evolved from a pile of gelatinous goo on the bottom of an ocean?
As for why people don't take birth control, there are many reasons. One, it's expensive. Two, there are some women out there who make a living having babies and living off of the child support. And I'm sure there are other reasons I can't get into.

i think if someone is going to lay down and have sex and they dont use birth control or condoms they should have the baby didnot ask to be born why take it out on the baby because the adult made the mistake. their are so many couples that cant have babies and if someone doesnot want to have the baby why get abortion when u can adopted the baby out to a loveing family why not give another family a gift from god and that is a baby is a gift from god. people say they should have a choice but did that baby have a choice of life?

People make mistakes, and it's a huge situation to obtain an abortion especially with our political climate. I think it's a personal decision with a high emotional toll that we have no right to judge people on until we are in their situation. I do agree though some women treat abortion like a trip to the candy store- "...well I can just go get an abortion!" is what I've heard uttered alot lately. WHY do some girls/women have children they cannot care for who are bound to end up stuck in the adoption beauracray?

I agree with you. Iv'e always been against abortion. It makes me sick to see these girls out playing around and then go have an abortion like no big deal. I think once a person does they should have everything removed so they cannot have any children later if they wanted.

Not having sex is the best form of birth control, but one also needs to learn to have "self control" and not allow those hormones go wild. When we are young our procreation urges take over and we don't think about the consequences.
