I think they should sign Donte Stallworth, not Randy Moss. Tom Brady doesn't need anyone to bring the team down, because he is having a baby dammit!

Everyone has good points, but we are overlooking a huge piece...Patriots are a TEAM, Randy Moss is out for HIMSELF. Fact: Patriots were the first team in playoff history to take the field as a team. Fact: Tom Brady took a pay cut just to stay on the team when he could have made, not only his previous salary, but more to sign elsewhere. Fact: Bellicheck took Ty Law, a bunch of nobodies and a 7th round QB and made them Superbowl champions. Moss will drain both the cap and the morale. Stallworth would do well, if you overlook his chronic injuries. But, the Pats are in need of a weapon who can lead. New England would be better off grabbing a Kevin Curtis or Eric Moulds type. Both are doing well, have years ahead of them, and can step in as leaders. Every young receiving core needs a leader to transform inexperience into impact quickly. Example: Rice bread Owens, Chris Carter bread Randy Moss, Harrison bread Wayne, even Kevin Curtis is who he is by learning from Holt and Bruce. The list goes on. You either get one weapon, or one that breads three more. I choose the latter.

The only question is Moss' passion for the game. He didn't seem very enthusiastic last year. Of course it's had to be positive playing for the Raiders. Would going to a contender like New England be enough to get him motivated again? I don't know the answer. Moss might be the only person on the planet who does.

as a patriots fan, i would rather have donte stallworth, because he has no issues and is a FREE AGENT. in order for us (the patriots) to get Randy Moss, they would need to trade. For shell of his former shelf. So no, they should not trade for him

and they cannot possibly sign him

I agree with the other guy who wants Donte Stallworth. If the Pats can't get him, then they might sign Moss. But right, now, I think the Patriots are gonna sign Stallworth.

No, Randy Moss has character issues and smokes too much weed and isn't motivated to try his best

Yeah they should. Brady would befriend Randy (something Culpepper lost with Randy, and brooks was to stupid to even try). And Bellicheck (who came from Parcells, we know what he does to the hot heads) can calm Randy down to play the game. and besides that Randy wants a ring, if he goes to New England its a for sure thing!

No

The Pats play every game. Moss plays when he wants to play.
