i tried to learn the seals out of bordom and the monley seal is just weird. In the picture the two palms are together facing opposite directions the fingertips are also pointing opposite directions so how come both thumbs are on the same side faceing away from the body? they should be on opposite sides one faceing the body and one facing away so what happened?

Its just a messed up picture! Probably just an accident, im sure you know how to properly do it and that you dont have to amputate your thump and switch it with you're pinky! Though if you look at eps when they DO use the monkey hand seal (for example, Sasukes Katon: Gokakyuu no jutsu) it is drawn correctly

it looks like the thumb but its the pinky finger your looking at on there. try it in the mirror it will look like your thumb.
