It is a real Gibson, but it's a factory second model. It probably has some really minor problem like paint swirling or pitting. Here's the same guitar sold in mint condition on the same site for a little over $200 more:

Its hard to tell over the internet,your best bet would be to try a few in a guitar store,grab the model #'s off the guitar and if you choose to,buy it online. Sounds like a good price to me!

Well, I know Jade plays a gibson, it looks like his, gibsons are expensive, so yes, i think it is real.
