What is your opinion? U.S. Banks offering credit cards to illegal immigrants.?

I saw on the evening news that Bank of America and Citi Bank are offeing high % rate credit cards to illegal immigrants and that there has been a movement (backlash) against these companies by some groups stating they oppose this practice for they see it as encouraging bad behavior and encouraging immigrants to come here illegally and that the banks are giving them rights they don't deserve? What is your opinion?

If the bank loans Jose a thousand dollars on a credit card, regardless of interest and Jose skips out and can't be found who pays? The bank isn't going to take a loss, they are going to increase rates in other places or reduce what they pay on money invested in the bank to compensate for their loses.
