arrogance is a synonym for stubborness and confidence is the positive form of it. Arrogance is when you cannot accept that your answer or propisition is wrong and confidence is when you try your best and are satisfied of your accomplishments, even if you do not yet know the result. That is the difference.

To be over confident sometimes can be seen as arrogance. But the opposite is not true though. Like being completely arrogant doesn't necessarily means you are confident, which leads you to being ignorant. but if you, yet, ignorant, it just go to show that you may as well drop both arrogance and confidence because it seems utterly vague and disgusting. good enough, yes?

When it comes to arrogance you act like you are kinda better then everyone else and want to do things to show or prove that you are but really you are not. It's like being a show off. And confidence I think is when you have lets say a show to do as in your a singer and you are going to perform. Well in order to do good you need to have confidence in yourself, and know that you really are good and will do your best at it and in return hope for the best that everyone will be happy with the performance.

Confidence is a quiet self assurance. Arrogance is louder. It appears as confidence but has an unlying insecurity and requires feedback from others.

confidence : the act of confiding, trusting, or putting faith in. A confident person is certainly respected and admired. Other people always feel better to be with or to co-operate with a confident person. In addition, his/her confidence make others more comfortable. Who do you want to be?
