Virtual Villagers: the lost children, I have finished all the puzzles.. how come the game is still playing?

I've completed all of the puzzles, and found all the butterflies, and sea shells (only half done the other 2 collections) and I've bought all the advances I can buy with my tech points.. but the game is still playing... how do I beat the game.

You really don't, after the gong, it's techincally "beaten" but you can play the game forever. Like... no REAL ending.
