Blah, watch the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, not the half-assed remakes. Saw 3 is good, as well, if you liked the first two. The Devil's Rejects is another good one, as the guy above said, but not so much House of 1,000 Corpses.

I love scary movies and its hard to find good ones that really scare you these day. Honestly I thought Saw was good, havent had time to see 2 or 3 yet though. Otherwise, The Exorcism of Emily Rose was really freaky.

I just watched "The Descent", newly out in DVD. It's about 6 women who like climbing, caving, and such rugged sports. They go into a cave, thinking that it has previously been explored. It hasn't, and they get trapped, and meet "Crawlers", who are flesh-eating things that live in the cave.
Bloody, gorey, etc. Plus it all takes place underground in tight enclosed tunnels. Pretty good. ! Not a big-budget film, but they did a lot with little. It really seems like it all happened in a cavern, even though none of it was filmed in a real cave.
Also, there's a series of Sci-Fi - type horror movies, which are named Cube, Cube2, and Cube 0. People are trapped in a giant "Rubic's Cube" and the individual "rooms" are sometimes safe, but sometimes booby-trapped, to kill them in gruesome ways. They have to try to escape by going through the cube rooms, one by one.

There's always something to be said for the "oldies." Hitchcock was a master. "Psycho"
and "The Birds" are classics. Granted they don't go straight for the mega blood and gore that dominates today's movies - but then they don't need to - they have a substantive story line.

im not a big fan of current horro films, they all seem aimed towards high school age mentality (not that there;s anything wrong with high schoolers, but ya know what i mean...hopefully..anyway), the last really cool original movie i saw that actually surprised me and was original was "the others"...made me like nicole kidman :)
