● Rainbow coalition - he coined the phrase
● BPP Breakfast Program
● BPP national deputy chairman
● Chicago BPP - one of the strongest chapters, with a successful Serve the People program.

Chicago City Council has already declared a Fred Hampton Day, so a street naming should be no problem. It would be a fitting recognition of an individual that achieved so much for the oppressed, in such a short space of time, and at such a young age.
