I want to echo 'fear of..." Check out the Darwin Awards. This is a hypothetical "honor" awarded to the person who does the human race the biggest favor by eliminating themselves from the gene pool. BAsically a collection of 'true' stories culled from the news about people who die doing really dumb stuff - kinda like the famous last words of the Redneck - "Hey y'all, watch this!"

A friend of mine went to the Niger Congo to help guard the foreign laborers of a copper mine. Rebels from an adjoining
country drove captured military vehicles to the mine works
for looting, murder, and rape. While the other staff ran into the central adit to fortify a defensive fall-back position until
relief arrived one man decided to play John Wayne. He killed dozens. Hundreds more over-ran his bunker. His liver
and heart were torn out and shared with the surviving rebel leaders as both a compliment to bravery and hope that his spirit would go on to other battles with them. My friend still
lives in any who survive today.
