It makes him look as dumb as a bucket of rocks, and I feel like I've been snookered by, yet another Republican con man.

I think YOU look pretty dumb today. We are no longer at war with Iraq, we are helping them set up a democracy and train their military and police. The war only lasted about 5 weeks, the purpose of said war was to take Saddam out of power. He went into hiding fairly quickly after the invasion, hence "Mission Accomplished". Now we are fighting to ensure that Iraq becomes stable so that our efforts during the war were not in vain.

The declaration of "Mission Accomplished"in 2003 was not really achieved because the people of Iraq do not want the government established by the US. Thus, until now, American soldiers are being killed and still counting.

The Mission was accomplished. The war ended then, and what has been going on ever since as been an occupation. Neither have been successful in my opinion. Bush is incapable of feeling dumb, as he thinks he is infallible.

The sign had a typographic error. It was either supposed to read "A Mission Accomplished" or "Mission Accomplished?"

Seriously, the reason we're still in Iraq has nothing to do with the reason we went there in the first place. We went there in the first place to depose Saddam and topple that govt regime. That mission was accomplished. And with very little loss of American life.

Bush then started an entirely new mission, one that will take decades to complete (if ever). It's that new mission that we're currently trying to figure out what to do with.

there is basically one way the job could be finished and that's whilst the troops are bumped off, and the possibility to u . s . of america is positioned to an end. i think of Bush replaced into 0.5 outstanding simply by fact he achieved one element which replaced into killing Hussein. in spite of if if the venture have been achieved 2003, then why are we nonetheless there 5 years later? i don't trust the conflict itself, in spite of if I do think of that being there is hurting the financial device, and it somewhat is weakening our borders.. Now of path we gained't purely up and go away, simply by fact which potential each and all the lives have been wasted for not something.. so we could desire to stay, now how lengthy, it is as much as our next commander and chief.. Bush is an occasion of what unfavorable judgement will do...

Makes me feel good because I am not an idiot.
What the President (a word you did not use) announced to the MILITARY on-board an aircraft
carrier..was that the "Mission (was) accomplished",this was true..
He was speaking of the primary mission which
was the defeat of the Iraqi military and the removal
of Hussein from power in Baghdad. They did accomplish that mission....They have not won the peace...Please don't confuse the missions...there
are many....

Good point... I have been saying for awhile now that we are not at war. The war was over within 6 months of invading and occupying Iraq. We have been in a reconstruction phase ever since, not a war.

The immediate mission. The ulitmate mission is creating a stable Iraq after the ousting of Hussein. We haven't done that, and the valiant men and women in Iraq right now will see to it that that mission is accomplished in spite of the cut and run slowbleed Democrats.

How do I feel?......... That we have been consistently lied to by this administration. We were lied to into this war, we have been lied to throughout this war and will be lied to in the future. Personally I want my money back. I want my tax dollars that were spent on this war refunded with interest. I also want the money that Bush took out of Social Security to pay for this war returned out of the money that he and Dick Cheney made on it.
