was expecting it especially after the way the huskies man handled them
The pac 10 tourney is very tough with a ton of top teams. Toughest conference in college basketball

UCLA blew a one seed in the tournament, and they have looked shaky lately. I hate to say this, but with the tournament being played at Staples, there was no excuse for them not winning the Pac-10 this year. If they get a scary team as a 6 or 7 in their draw, they could be out by round two.

Problem is that Cal is playing for their NCAA lives and UCLA thinks this is just a stepping stone. Ben Braun is a GREAT coach who prepares his teams well. I am guessing UCLA believed that they could just show up and win. I agree that this is a wakeup call and that you can't just turn it on whenever you want. Motivation and coaching is what won today vs talent. This game probably made Cal's season and they played like it.

I cant believe people posted on here yesterday that 'arent they playing the tourney for second' (to UCLA in the pac 10 tourney)...I havent seen any UCLA teams that good since Wooden's days...

they were bound to lose sometime just no one expected this early. it is a surprise but i think they will come on strong in the real dance. they have plenty of talent and they go deep, but the only thing im am worried about is the inside game. they really do not have a go to guy in the paint. and that is where they will be weak in the NCAA tourney, i mean if they matchup to georgetown or ohio st. then they will have an early exit in the big one too.
