dont breath form your lungs, breath from your stomach, this way you will have more air for a longer time. Try to have a strong voice and one that doesent change pitch every 10 seconds. You should also try checking out singshot, you can record there and other members give you feedback, Good Luck, nicole

Drink Lemon Juice.
Do NOT sing songs by Sheryl Crow, Celine Dion, or Selena.
A friend of mine was a suprano did really well with Shanendoah.

Warm up a lot before hand. It will help you hit the notes in tune.
Drink some water. Practice before an audience so your nerves don't get to you during your solo.

...I would need to hear you to give you good advice. But if there's one bit of advice I can give you, it's always use your diaphragm, don't drink milk, and don't eat within 2 hours of your performance. Also, keep warm-ups to the bare essentials.
