does anyone know where to get a hotel that is REALLY CHEAP? we are planning to go to Disney World next summer for the first 4 days of summer for our graduation party and there will be 20 people and we'll probably have 2-3 in a single room to save money and will have the two chaperone (becca's mom and dad) in a sweet cause she is planning it and her parents are going to be the chaperones. we are needing some help. what is the cheepest that you know of any suggestions would help. they have to be THE" CHEEPEST" you can find. thanks. we have never done this before so we need all the help we can get. I know that we can call them and/or email the hotels' and ask about their packages and whatnot but we need some help on finding the hotels that are reasonable. thanks! =] --Lara =]

My suggestion would be to stay at Disney World in one of the Value resorts like Pop Century.

Since you have such a large group, you will need lots of transportation. By staying on Disney property you can take advantage of Disney's Magical Express. This is a bus service that picks you up at the airport and takes you directly to your hotel. Then at the end of the vacation, they take you back to the airport. In between, you can use Disney Transportation Service which includes busses, boats and the monorail. All of this is at no extra cost. The value resort rooms are a bit on the small side, but you can fit up to 4 people in a room.

I would go to the Walt Disney World website and find the phone number to speak directly to them. OR if anyone has triple A for their car, call THEM and they can hook you up.

Remember, sometimes, you get what you pay for. You may find cheaper hotels off property, but then you have to get everyone to and from the parks!! So you would have to add on extra costs for transportation. (and all those people won't fit in one car!)

Good luck.

Cheap may not mean cheap. Most hotels in the area compete so most hotels fall into a price range with a couple of $$'s difference.

What is important is value.

Where is it located ( save on the transport costs , does it offer free amenities ( which you will otherwise pay for ), is it much cheaper than others in the area , what star rating do i get for my money ( check the quality ).

You can check most of this using a website called Cheaperthanhotels - Orlando

I hope this helps give you some perspective - happy planning whatever you decide to do.

If you drive down, you can camp at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground and still be on disney property. When I went it wasn't even like camping since there are clean bathrooms a few feet away along with a bus to take you to all the parks, and hardly any bugs (for FL, this is wonderful). Very awesome price for the service of a resort! The Pop century is great- especially if you have a friend in your group who is a FL resident and can get a discount on the price. We pay about 70 a night plus tax with it.

if you want a nice hotel for cheep, not a motel, one pools, try the Radisson Resort Parkway in Kissimmee. It is 5 mins from Disney and a really nice hotel for the money. Check out the web site, they are always running specials, give them a call. If that is not what you are looking for, just down the road on 192 there are a ton of motels for cheep, cheep. but you get what you pay for, no suites. I can highly recommend the Radisson Resort Parkway, my husband and I have stayed there 6 times in the past 4 years. They also have a free shuttle to the disney parks

Get a condo or two. You can buy your own food and cook it there. I know it is not as much fun, but it's an idea. Choice Hotels and suites can hold 4 (usually) and will have a little microwave and minifridge so you are not spending all your money on food.

Have fun. We did that when I graduated back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. It was a blast. Say hello to Space Mountain for me...it's great.

Trust me when I say you don't want the cheapest. The absolute cheapest locations are not safe and are not clean.

I recommend the Best Western Lakeside or the Lake Suites in Kissimmee. Best Western starts out at $59 a night and they have ajoining rooms. http://www.bestwesternlakeside.com/

The Lake Suites start out at $69 a night and they can fit 4-8 people easily. These are condo style and are great!

when we went in 2001 we stayed at country inn and suites and had 6 in our room which was cheaper than getting 2 rooms..they had 2 beds and a sofa sleeper it was $65 a night but remember this was 6 yrs ago...in 2005 we stayed at knights inn and had 5 in the room 2 beds and a cot...it was I think $50 a night let me tell you we should have gone back to country inn and suites..knights inn is a scarey place...i found both hotels on expedia.com...make sure to go for 1 with breakfast this will save time and money..also if you get a fridge you can buy cases of pop to keep in your room trust me this is alot cheaper thanm paying the 1.5 or whatever it is now a crack

I strongly recommend you stay on Disney property. By staying on Disney property you will have full access to FREE transportation for everyone to all the theme parks, attractions, and resorts, that is a big plus for your big group! You might also be able to get a group discount since you would be making a group reservation. Checkout the official WDW website for lots of helpfull info:

There are a lot of cheap hotels on 192 right outside the park.
Knight's Inn on 192 and Poinciana is almost in the Perkin's parking lot. It looks real cheap.
