When you look at the Goals this team has scored and the number of shots on goal they have given up, they do not look anywhere near as bad as what their record is. With AVERAGE goaltending they would be in the playoff picture...with Brodeur we'd be talking about a cup!

Cloutier is already under contract. Garon's problem is simply that he is hurt a lot, his save percentage is not that bad. Should they just hope that Cloutier will yet come around? Resign Burke who has been the most stable? See if a big-name Goalie is available as a free agency? Work a trade even if it means losing a Frolov or Camelleri?

Please note that this is not Bettman's fault.

I agree that number of shots against does not tell the whole story about how the forwards and defenseman are doing defensively. But give the Kings Brodeur's save percentage and they've given up about a goal less PER GAME. That's pretty significant, don't you think?

This is a terrible answer but do nothing until the summer. At this point LA is a good shot for the #1 draft pick. Let the Flyers and Blues continue their streaks and the Kings can suck their way into some serious drafting.

Come summer time look to send something for one of San Jose guys (Toskala or Nabokov). They are both top notch and one of them will be available. I would trade away one of the decent draft picks. LA has a history of poor drafting anyway. Try and find a sucker to take Cloutier off your hands too. Save money.

Well, that's a tough one, since Kelly Hrudey patrolled the Blue Area Between the Red Pipes, the Kings' Goaltending situation has been a mess. Cloutier, Garon and Burke are simply not the answer. Free Agency or the NHL Draft would have to provide a solution to this problem. Maybe the Kings should try to work out a Trade with their rivals from Orange County for either Jean-Sabestien Giguere or Iylia Bryzgalov. Bryzgalov could be the solution in Los Angeles.

Ok look I live in L.A. and yes I hate the kings better known to me as the Queens. But as a hockey fan if I was in charge this is what I would do. Cloutier would be gone hope with a trade but if not just let him go free. I would try and sign Garon to a long term deal he is the future of this team in goal. And for now Burke would be the back up. And please dont even look at trading Frolov Camelleri you could trade if you get something that will help you that year or the next year.
But as I have seen over and over again the kings will trade or let grat players go for nothing or almost nothing. Good luck to all kings fans for next 3 years.

Let Cloutier go or buy out his contract.
Send Garon to Manchester
Bring up LaBarbera
Trade or sign a starter in the offseason-anything but Frolov, Cammaleri, Brown, Visnovsky, Kopitar, and Johnson-everything else is game.

Honestly scrap it and start over. I'm not trying to be sarcastic. I actually liked the Kings but their signing of Cloutier baffled me. although he has been a starting goalie for most of his career, he is NOT a starting goalie. he is simply not that good. he is not, and never will be, an elite goalie. he proved that in Vancouver. i'm not sure what to expect from Garon. i've always thought he had potential to be a top notch goalie, but could never stay healthy or could not get the games in to develop. their defense is suspect, so they really do have to rely on a good goalie. just ask the Avalanche, they're going thru the same thing.

The Kings are learning what Vancouver could have told them years ago. Cloutier would make a good back up goalie, but don't count on him for more the two or three games in a row, you will only be disappointed. LA is suppose to have some half decent propects and they take time, but they payoff big time in the end. Be patient.

Number of shots given up has no bearing. Quality shots matters more. Cloutier sucks. Biron might be the answer. They have alot more problems other than goaltending and even with Brodeur, they would not be competing for the cup, he is good, not that good.

Dan Cloutier is a bum whilst he performs he sucks and he constantly gets injured. i in no way like the Canucks and that they'd purely piss me off lots reason i did not understand why a collection would keep a goalie interior the corporate that long whilst his stats are undesirable or perhaps worst interior the playoffs whilst he did play. and hes constantly injured, he would desire to be out of the NHL era. Sean Burke i admire the guy specific he would desire to additionally retire he hasn't been a extensive determination one for years yet inspect his profession stats super goalie on shitty communities, yet I even have allot of recognize for him for kicking around after being on crappy communities all his profession.provide it some greater years and Garon would be an exceedingly good goalie. bypass HABS bypass!!!!!!!!!!!!!a million
