And if so, when might it happen?

It is looking more and more like a showdown with Iran is inevitable. Iran's President, powerless though he may be, has said several times that he would like to destroy Israel. And clearly Iran is working on a nuclear program, something no one wants them to have. And then there's the possibility that Iran is supporting our enemies in Iraq...

Neither will attack Iran. Israel doesn't have enough jets/bombers (there are about 50 different Iranian nuclear sites that have to be taken out) & the US military is too busy with Iraq & Afganhistan. Yes the US could bomb Iran's nuke sites but that would start a war with Iran & the US doesn't have enough ground troops to take on Iran. Plus all major US Arab/Muslim nations like Saudi Arabia don't want the US to invade Iran either.

Let us hope that neither will. It's amazing to say, but the U.S does not have the military strength to sustain a war against Iran, and a war it would surely be. Of course, if Israel does bomb Iran we will be in lockstep with them, which is entirely opposite our national interests.
I'm not a religious person, but it is looking more and more like Armageddon.

The United States of course. This government couldn't stand the thought of a middle eastern country, that we have had past issues with, having a nuclear program of their own. The Israel army is too small to take on Iran, they would need outside help, namely the US.

Chi Guy and Neo-Liberal have it. Neither. There's no purpose in fighting Iran. Especially when their Ayatollah is the leader, not the President. Especially when e're about to meet them in a diplomatic setting in Iraq. It's not a priority. There is more, yet, to unfold. Let's just wait and see, shall we?

Israel will never let them get so far as to make a nuke. Iran may just be to stupid to realize that the US is holding Israel back. But they will defend themselves!!!!!

The US is MORE than capable of waging wars on MANY FRONTS! What the hell is wrong with you liberal idiots? Can you be more Anti-American? The US has the greatest Naval, Air and ground forces EVER to have existed on this planet. For some dope to say we can't handle Iran..well...that is just foolish.

My money is on Isreal, since Iran's President has vowed to "wipe them off the map", and they are a lot closer to Iran than we are. Also, their military is not overextended at the moment.

When? Your guess is as good as mine.

Israel will. We will pretend that we didn't know they were flying over Iraq and had no idea it was going on and maybe even admonish Israel publicly for the attack, but behind closed doors we are on the same side.
