Like would I be totally out of place if I went in FFA? I really want to be a Vet, so would FFA really even have anything to do with that??

Can girls be in the FFA?! What kind of question is that? =p Its not the 50's anymore. I was in FFA all 4 years of HS and I enjoyed every minute of it!! I was an officer my senior year and it taught me a lot of invaluable leadership skills. I raised pigs for 3 years. I had a ton of fun and met a lot of people who I consider to be really great friends still! They have many classes that also relate to becomming a vet.. Ag science 1, 2, vet science, Ag biology, etc. Totally worth participating in this program. Plus you can letter in it if you get your state degree =p Oh, we even had a girl become the president of CA from my local chapter! She did a really great job too!! Good luck and God Bless!!

Absolutly join FFA, especially if you want to be a vet. There is alot to learn in FFA as well as alot of fun and crazy times to be had! Our FFA trips were always the best. And I'm not sure where you got the idea that FFA was only for guys, but it is definatly open to girls and guys!

A ton of girls participate in FFA. FFA will give you a lot of exposure to animals and animal science which will help in your future veterinarian career. You'll learn about caring, feeding, grooming, diseases, parasites, and a lot more. FFA is a great program.

Not at all. There are a lot of girls that go into the FFA. If you are wanting to be a Vet it would be great experience for you. They go to different events such as cattle and sheep judging and it is really fun.

You would not be out of place in FFA today my girl. My daughter was in FFA and got a blue ribbon for her Sheep. That had to be the best groomed and cared for sheep in the world, if you knew my daughter.
