No, the world is not falling apart. We have had worse times in the past. We have better news now, so it would appear to be falling apart.

It has problems but it is not "falling apart." There will be a time when the world will end but it has not happened yet. I suggest you read Revelations in the Bible.
Besides, if you believe in Jesus and ask forgiveness of your sins, and ask Him to come into your life if you so desire, then the things of this world needn't concern you so. The time in this world is but a second when compared to eternity.
