The fulcrum is the point around which a lever rotates. Think of a seesaw. The fulcrum is the middle thing that the seesaw balances on.

The #1 answer is: something used to move something else. For ex: you are stuck under a truck tire. Someone finds a pipe the pipe is the fulcrum-he uses it to lift the tire off your foot and you slide out. There are other uses for fulcrum. Look em up.
