As well as Norton Internet security, Webroot Spysweeper has IE hijacking shields. If you are using spysweeper, Open it go to SHIELDS, choose IEhijack, click edit Iehijack settings, and change your homepage there otherwise Spysweeper will stop any attempt of anyone changing your homepage.

IE7 doesn't block you from setting any home page you want. I use Yahoo as my home page.

Are you running Norton on your PC? If so that is what is probably stopping you from changing your home page. Go into Norton and look for "options" or "properties" or something of that sort and make the change there.

Good luck.
