My computer restarted itself and now prompts me to enter a password to login. I never had a password before. Is there someway to fix this? I use Windows XP.

I suspect that a virus might be the cause. Would a re-formatting of my computer be necessary?

i will presume that it truly is an endemic. seems to me that preventing you from logging in might want to be precisely how an endemic might want to operate. go by chance-free mode and run "gadget fix" opt for a level before those topics began happening. If the region maintains attempt an older fix, ideally before any present day receive. note: you'll LOSE archives this way for sure if there is not any significant archives on the computing gadget you would possibly want to run a sparkling installation of homestead windows OR attempt to regulate your computers' settings so as that there is no longer a password to confirm in case you could merely bypass the region and therefore run a chance-free experiment of your gadget to discover any skill complications.
