Well you should be the last person to throw stones.Your lot fought a civil between the North & South.Guess what that war was about.Slavery.Abe Lincoln made a great address on 19th Nov 1863.Something like Dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.Yeah the anti-slavers won that war.Over a century later the ****** still did'nt have a vote.And very little rights.Now all of a sudden you want to champion Civil rights in other countries,

Now that really is a insipid uniformed question. You revealed more of your ignorance about this subject with this rhetorical question than you did anything about liberals or women, gays and minorities in muslim countries. Please do a little research before you post stupid questions like this. You do realize that feminists (liberal women) and feminist groups have been supporting these groups of people in muslim countries before 9/11, don't you?
God, I wish people would learn to research.
Bush has done more to support the oppression of women in Saudi Arabia than any other president in our history.

O.K., on this issue I will be content to be called a liberal!
We respect them because it is part of the Muslim faith & we have no right to ask them to change any part of their religion.
If you are a Christian, they would really show you what oppression means if you lived in a Muslim country.

Because they have been brainwashed to support things like "multiculturalism" and "tolerance" more than they support basic human rights.
Their view of the world is that there are no rights and wrongs. We must respect all other viewpoints, no matter how grotesque.

One of this country's allies is, unfortunately, Saudi Arabia, home of all of the above oppression. I'd say the administration could be considered as "supporting" this.
And don't forget this fun fact: 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudi Arabian. Repercussions? None.
