i'm very petite and i've had so many people tell me that i'm the cutest/ perfect pregnant woman they have ever seen. they ALWAYS ask me why i dont wear cute little midriffs to show off my so called "perfect" belly. do you think its right to show your prego belly off like that?

here's the thing, my husband works at a country bar, and way back in the day i used to work there too so just about everyone there are my friends and i tend to go up there alot being that all my friends are there and to see my hubby too. and everyone wants me to show it off! i have no stretch marks and no linea nigra, nothing but my baby bump! honestly i'm perfectly comfy showing it off but i just want the opinion of what you guys have when you see a woman like this showin it off. thanks

I have seen pregnant women like that I think its just appropriate at the beach and some other places not just in public... Owww and especially not if you have the linea nigra... I saw this girl that was pregnant and a short top and those low rise pants... And that line... wel wasnt a pretty sighte... See had stretchmarks too... Anyways point being my friends were like OMG can she cover up... And we r just 20ish

If you don't feel comfortable wearing those kinds of things, then don't! But they do have some very cute maternity clothes out there if you want to show it off! I was all belly when I was pregnant too, and I did like wearing cute maternity clothes. They weren't exactly midriff shirts though. By the time you get to 40 weeks, your belly will probably be sticking out of every shirt you own anyway! You can get some cute stuff at gap.com - for good prices if you shop the clearance and sales section. Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy and congratulations!

im petite aswell and also had the so called 'perfect belly' every1 was saying how cute i looked pregnant being the age of 19 they were shocked that i wasnt wearing short tops anymore, i made a point to wear long tops so that wen i lifted my arms or anything no-one could see my belly i hate walking down the street and seeing pregnant ppl showing their belly i think its 'disgusting' and looks trashy to be honest, i dont see the point off showing the belly while pregnant in public i think it should be more of an 'intimate' type thing u share with ur partner not the whole world no matter how 'cute' ur belly is

If I had a perfect slender figure and no stretch marks, it might have been a temptation to show it off. But I'm a pretty modest person, so the most I might have done would be to bare my belly for a photo shoot.
There's a lot of ways to show off a beautiful belly without actually baring it.

i always show my belly to people!! i am really petite too, still am, but i have this big oh belly. everyone says its so cute.. i have no stretch marks ( knock on wood. ) and im 36 weeks. If it was summer, i would def wear a bikini to the beach. I think pregnant girls are cute that ar petite.. But if you were over weight b4 pregnancy.. personally. it isnt that attractive.. but some peoples opinions are different

Well for me personally i wouldn't go around showing it in public - but thats just my personal preference.I'm 34.5wks pregnant and thankfully (so far) have no stretch marks but still... not a fan of flashing a pregnant belly! lol. Although at home i walk around in shorter shirts and quite enjoy having my bump "out" - as does my fiance! lol.
I think that if you are comfortable then go ahead, and if not then don't! Its all about personal preference :)

I think they look cute provided its not like britney spears or something. You can do it right and not look trashy. I'll show my belly to people in my family and friends who ask until/if I get stretch marks. I think pregnancy is beautiful and if people are complimenting you on it, then go for it :)

I think it's perfectly fine. Just don't get too carried away :D Also, midriffs are appropriate for only certain places, I'm sure you know that.. But go on ahead, be proud of your soon to be child.

How do you feel about it?
What about your family? Is the outfit going to be worn to church? LOL
It really just depends on your social situation and how comfortable you feel.
I suppose it would attract alot of attention probably both good and bad.
Personally- I don't like to draw attention to myself pregnant or not.

It depends on where we're talking about showing it...are you considering showing it at a family picnic or on opening night at the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center?
