For the first time ever I got fake nails done at the nail salon. I opted for gel nails. What a painful process! Anywho, there are tons of tiny little air bubbles and small cracks near my cuticle. I can't help but wonder, is this normal? I am not very satisfied with the nails but I'm not sure if this is how they are supposed to look? What should I do? I have friends telling me I should go back and ask for my money back, but maybe I should go through my credit card company? Ahh, help please :)

don't go through your cc company, because if you stop payment, YOU can get in trouble for not paying for services rendered, even if they were bad. I would call the salon, and tell them the problem. give them a chance to fix their mistake. if it's a good salon, they'll remove them, and re-do them for free. if it still doesn't work out, then find a new nail tech. remember to stay away from discount nail salons (aka chop shops). many of the nail techs in those places are not even licensed. they may also use cheap product. good gel brands to look for are gelousy, nsi, and brisa

No, it is not normal. Do you know the brand of gels that was used? It sounds like an inferior product was used. Yes call your cc company and let them know how dissatisfied you are. Go to a salon that uses opi or some other good brand of gel products. Shop around, all nails are not created equal. Try a nail school in your area, that uses good products for gels at an inexpensive price.
good luck.
p.s. It could also be the nail tech's technique.

i dnt understand on the subject of the burning area. no longer burning badly like u say yet bubbles are generic. it happens to very just about all nails if u seem close adequate. acrylic too. yet while it particularly is ur first time getting ur nails carried out i advise acrylic. definitely the only distinction between gel and acrylic is the fee. i grew to become into informed that in case you often have ur arms in water and doing dishes and vigirous issues w ur nails then elect gel yet thats BS. they stay on an analogous. gel isnt extra effectual then acrylic in any way. it doesnt "help" your nails stay fit. its a huge load to make u pay double the fee.

there should never be air bubbles in any type of fake nail...that means they did a bad job. you should definately go back and show them your nails. dont let them "re-do" them either, just get your money back!

depends on how long you have had them for, if you got them done an week ago that is a crummy job they did on your nails but if you got it done ages ago , they eventually break and crack etc. they are not as strong as acrylic. gels are for a more natural look than anything else
