You have to back up all of your songs before you restore it because they are going to be deleted from the ipod. To restore it do the following: plug your ipod to your computer then click start on your windows pc. Then all programs, then click ipod update. Then a window will open. Click restore ipod to factory settings. When you do this remember that all the files on your ipod will be deleted. Hope this helped.
