Yahoo Answers is not the only place in which people complain. Just because you don't see any complaining going on doesn't mean that it isn't happening. I didn't realize it was Women's History Month until I saw some of the questions on this site today. There shouldn't be any "history" months, as I have been saying all throughout Black History Month. We can learn about women's history and black history whenever we decide to go down to the library and read about them.

Black History Month probably got a lot of flack because of how defensive people got about it. If you let people see you like that, there are people out there who are going to exploit the situation, whether it is right or wrong.

I was just talking about how everyone but white males have a holiday lol. But I honestly don't care about the history months in a particularly negative way. Although, if I was black I'd be insulted by black history month, I'd be pissed to hear people say your history is only important on this month, they just need to make it important to teach the whole story in history class the first time. It just seems a little weird, but it doesn't affect me so it's not really my business and anyone can have it anyway they want it.

And is that avatar way up top Rhinoa? I think second from top.

I have better things to do than to complain about something so small like black history month, I just don't care. If it makes people happy to have a month dedicated to any group of people then enjoy the month, whatever

I guess that women's history month isn't as publicized as other history months. I know I've never heard of it. Kinda think of it, I haven't heard anyone complaining about ANY history month. But that's just me.

It's not publicized as much. I personally didn't know it was women's history month. I don't think many people have a problem with studying black history. I personally think, though, that it should be balanced with native american history, latin history, european history, etc.

Whats up with this crap? Why is there a womens history month?
This should be repealed along with black mythology month and the Michael King [ also known as Martin Luther ] holiday.

edit; I was kidding about womens history month, I could care less.

Why do the dark-skins always complain about me? I have done them no wrong! What have I to apologize for? I feel like we are all comrades, can't we just "get along"?

I didn't actually know we had one, and to tell you the truth- I really didn't care. Why does everybody have to have a freakin' month?

What the hell does being WHITE have to do with a month devoted to GENDER? It's apples and oranges.
