The grounds for impeaching a sitting President can be found in Article II, Section 4 of the United States Constitution. Please read it and stop asking the same stupid question ad nauseam.

Well unfortunately for you they can ask this question as much as they want. If you do not like the questions asking about impeachment you have the choice to simply ignore them. Difficult I know.

your question begs another. will the rightwing stop bashing thinking people and calling them leftists and liberals? what is this the fifties? are there reds under beds?

article II section four: "The President... shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for and Conviction of... other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." this describes what shall happen "on impeachment," and not the grounds for impeachment as you stated.

so far we've had three impeahments: in 1868 against President Andrew Johnson for his removal of Secretary of War Edwin Stanton in violation of the Tenure of Office Act; 1974 against President Richard Richard Nixon for the Watergate coverup (106 years after Johnson); 1998-99 against President Bill Clinton for concealing an extramarital affair (a farce since several other presidents had extramarital affairs, and indeed at least one mistress has actually lived in the white house)!

the bottom line is almost any president in the last fifty years has been impeachable. there may indeed be grounds for impeaching GWB. on the other hand, despite a seriously poor popularity he is well ensconced. even the newly empowered democrats are working for him, i call your attention to who they are running for '08. a female with a criminal past and an unproven Muslim man.

Wouldn't it be so grand if more people would read and understand the Constitution of The United States of America.
It is one of the most demecratic documents in the world today.

I agree. And unless Bush murders Nancy Pelosi in House of Reps. on C-SPAN it will be almost impossible to impeach him anyway.

I see pretty much the same set of questions asked by many different political groups.

Left, right, liberal, conservative, anti-illegal-immigrant, pro-choice, anti-abortion, anti-gay, anti-bigotry -- the same issues keep coming up over and over again because they are the issues that lots of people seem to care about.

And I agree, it's annoying that people keep asking the same actual questions without bothering to read the answers previously given. But that's also human nature. Too many people don't learn from history, so history keep repeating itself.

The price just keeps going up each time it does.

They can't handle the fact that ''their'' president was the only president ever impeached.

They never give it up. They just keep whining about impeachment because Billybob was impeached. It's a payback thing with them. they're like vindictive children.
